Ron Howard = Gangster

Once again, I'm watching MTV2 and I am amazed what makes it onto TV. This time it was Jamie Foxx's "Blame It" music video. Jamie Foxx has probably cast the oddest man to ever star in a rap music video, Ron Howard. Yes, that Ron Howard from Happy Days and The Andy Griffith Show. Maybe Ron is a real connoisseur of rap, or maybe Jamie needed a spot to fill and he was available. Anyways, it was funny to see the guy that directed The Grinch posted up in a club.

Asher Roth

Asher Roth, unlike most rappers today, comes from the green hills of the suburbs, specifically those of Morrisville, PA. This white-boy has been creating a storm in the music/rap world with his hit single "I Love College." Asher's career began to rise when he teamed up with Don Cannon and DJ Drama with the release of The Greenhouse Effect. His suburban swagger and college comical lyrics has certainly caught a niche audience with university students. But don't just single out Asher as that "College" rapper. He definetly has poetic skills and an interesting spectrum of topics to rap about, but frequents booze and pot.
